For privacy from Facebook tracking [and similar sites], log out after each session of facebook before you continue surfing, and install a privacy cookie tracking extension like Ghostery (available in Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE). Configure it to ditch facebook cookies, or at least let it show you how much you're being tracked as you move about the web.
